Jim Parsons said that Iain Armitage was a natural choice to play the role of Sheldon, right from his audition. Interview with Entertainment WeeklyParsons shared his surprise reaction to Armitage audition tapes, and said it was inspiring to see Armitage as an actor so young.
Parsons said that watching Armitage play Sheldon reminded Armitage of the joy of acting, and told Armitage that. “I don’t think I’ve forgotten how much fun everything is, but maybe a little bit, because it definitely feels like a reminder of something when I watch you [Iain] work on all this stuff and do all this stuff.”
Talk toEntertainment TonightParsons stated that Armitage leapt off the screen as the right choice for the younger version of The Thrill. “Big Bang Theory” character. He continued to say that Armitage’s handling of the character only confirmed that he was cast. “He handles the language well and he memorizes easily,”Parsons added that Armitage was a much better actor than he at the same time.
