'Jeopardy!' Champion Amy Schneider Surpasses $1 Million in Winnings

“Jeopardy!”Amy Schneider, champion, surpassed $1,000,000 in total winnings Friday night. This cements her status as the show’s highest-earning and longest-winning female.

Schneider came into Friday’s game having $977,400 that she had amassed over a 27-day winning streak. She won another game and was awarded $42,200. That brings her total winnings to $1019,600. Her streak now stands at 28 games.

“This has been something I’ve wanted since I can remember,”Schneider stated that A post-show interviewShared by “Jeopardy!” “I think that being in the history of the game, I think, is something — you know the money doesn’t feel real yet — but that is something that I just will never not be proud of.”

Schneider, an Oakland engineer manager, was the first woman ever to win $1,000,000 on “Jeopardy!”

Larissa Kelly was previously the highest-earning female with $655 930. Schneider was congratulated on TwitterShe beat her record in December.
