The drama will begin in select theaters on Oct. 7 and will play exclusively in theaters. However, since this is a Focus Features release, we can expect it to stream on Peacock at some point in the next few months — perhaps as early as November or December. Another Focus Features release. “Downton Abbey: A New Era,”Peacock streaming the movie was available within a month of its first release.

The film focuses on Lydia Tár, whose reputation as an acclaimed composer gained her the coveted title of the first-ever female chief conductor of a major German orchestra. Lydia is an accomplished composer and one of the 15 EGOTs. But she senses that something is amiss when bizarre things start to happen. After hearing strange sounds, and people close to her receiving them, she begins to feel something sinister. “weird” emails, it’s clear that the position of power and respect also has a dark side.
Who is in the “Tár” Cast?
Cate Blanchett stars as composer Lydia Tár alongside Noémie Merlant, Nina Hoss and Sophie Kauer. Sylvia Flote and Sylvia Flote are also notable cast members.
