Who is Susanna Reid, and how did she get there?

Susanna Victoria Reid is from Croydon, South London, and was born on December 10, 1970.

Television presenter, Croham Hurst School was her first school. Then came the independent Croydon High School. Next came the independent Croydon High School. Finally, the independent St Paul’s Girls School in London.

Susanna studied law, philosophy, and politics at the University of Bristol. She was the editor of Epigram, a student newspaper that was shortlisted for the 1991 Best Student Newspaper award in The Guardian/NUS student journalism awards.

Where did Susanna Reid begin her career?

After leaving University, Susanna began her career at BBC Radio Bristol and then became a reporter for Radio 5 Live, as well as a producer before joining BBC News 24, where she spent two years as a reporter.

Susanna, three months pregnant with her first baby, became a substitute presenter when the 11pm host didn’t show up. This was a permanent position that she held for one hour.

Before going on maternity leave, she presented on the BBC’s online interactive service and then became a reporter for Breakfast News in 1998.

After a second period of maternity, she was appointed as a BBC News Channel host.

Since 2003, Susanna has been a main presenter on BBC Breakfast with Bill Turnbull on Mondays Tuesdays and Wednesdays. She also presented previously with Charlie Stayt on Fridays Saturdays Sundays.

Reid retired from Breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays in 2010 to become a part of Sunday Morning Live.

In February 2014, it was reported that ITV were attempting to recruit Susanna for their new breakfast programme, with an offering of a £1 million salary.

Susanna previously denied claims that she had moved to ITV in December 2013. She claimed she did so during her Strictly Come Dancing stint. “bleed BBC” if cut open.

However, on March 3, 2014, she was confirmed by the BBC to join ITV’s rival breakfast program Good Morning Britain. It replaced Daybreak.

She now co-hosts the show alongside Richard Madeley every Monday to Thursday from 6am to 8.30am.

Susanna Reid was a single woman as of November 2022.

In November 2018 Central Recorder exclusively revealed Susanna was dating the minted football boss Steve Parish, who’s worth £45million.

Susanna made public her relationship with her boyfriend in the same month, when she was pictured with him at a Crystal Palace match against Chelsea.

A friend said: “They have known each other for several years through their connections to Palace.”

Susanna dated Crystal Palace Chairman for nine months. However, she waited until December 2018 to confirm the romance.

Susanna disclosed that she was pregnant in January 2019. “very happy”She was with her new boyfriend, but she insisted that she did not want to marry him.

But it wasn’t meant to be, and by April 2019, Susanna confirmed that the relationship between her and Steve had fizzled out and that she was single once again.

Susanna worked previously with Dominic Cotton, a former sports presenter. They separated in February 2014.

They were never married.
