Liz went through the top three things she’d spotted and what we should all be looking out for in the months to come.

She revealed: “First up is the use of the colour brown. It is everywhere in interior design, on furniture and walls.

“I’m also seeing a resurgence in cabinetry and accent pieces, as opposed to light wood that we’ve been seeing a lot of over the last few years.

“I’m also seeing this trend pop up a lot more in catalogues from major designers, like Restoration Hardware.”

Liz moved onto the second point about something we might invest in in near future.

The design expert continued: “Number two is furniture and accent pieces that use textured fabrics – especially with boucle, velvet and sherpa.

“I think this trend is actually perfect for fall because it brings all the cosy vibes.

“If you want to bring this trend into your home without fully buying a new piece of furniture, you can add pillows, blankets or covers with these textures to your existing furniture.

Last, but by no means least, on Liz’s style trends list was “aged or antiqued vases and vessels.”

Liz advised people to watch out for this home accessory, saying it was one of her personal favorites of the Autumn season.

She concluded: “I’m also really excited about this trend for fall.

“It brings a little bit of that homey and lived in feel to a space, but it also adds character to your home.
