Inside Matt Brown's Tense Relationship With His Family

Matt Brown hasn’t been a part of “Alaskan Bush People” since Season 8, Distractify noted, and he’s also been estranged from the rest of the Brown family. Matt is a recovering addict who entered rehab in 2016. “I learned a lot about myself in those 35 days. I’ve turned my weakness into a strength,” Matt told People about his recovery. “In life, we all get lost every now and then and have to find our way back. Not everyone makes it back, and I’m happy to be one of those who did.”

Matt was accused of having raped two women in 2018, during a relapse. The two women identified themselves and shared their stories with Central Recorder, and the scandal was obviously hugely serious for the entire Brown family. According to the outlet the allegations were presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. However, the DA decided to not prosecute. He didn’t respond to People‘s request for comment on the situation in 2020, but he did post an Instagram claiming “there’s so many lies” in the world (via Central Recorder).

This wasn’t the only thing that caused tension between Matt Brown and the Brown family.
