Ryan and Pam headed to the yard sale, America’s answer to a carboot, and spent approximately £670 on the figurines, which were still in their packaging.

They were lucky. But it was the US couple with their expertise in buying and sales.

That’s because they discovered from the seller that their humongous haul was said to be worth an astonishing £7.8k.

They run an a Thrift Mine is a YouTube channel., described their purchases as the “jackpot of a lifetime”.

Ryan explained: “My wife and I went to a garage sale to find some good stuff to resell for a profit online.

“We ended up stumbling across an entire collection of high end valuable stuff,” he added.

Continuing to dub their latest garage sale a “crazy adventure”, he then revealed exactly what had happened.

Using footage from their shopping experience, Ryan showed how they’d arrived at the garage sale looking for profitable goods.

The Disney merch was in the full package, and they immediately knew that this could be a big hit.

So they asked to see the full collection of the brand new products – and the seller returned with boxes full of the stuff and showed how they even had their official certificates to show they were the Real Estate deal.

The characters ranged from Dumbo and Captain Hook to other popular cartoons. Snow Bambi White

The seller also explained that the Disney products had set him back around $10k – approximately £7.8k – but he’d accept even a tenth of that.

After Ryan and Pam had viewed the books and determined that they would like to bring them home, Ryan and Pam discussed what they could offer.

Ryan then put his negotiating skills to use, as he said if he could get the lot for less than $1k “it would be even better.”

He told the seller: “I’d be interested in buying everything.”

Ryan then thought long and hard, before suggesting he hand over $750, which equates to about £585.

But the sellers pushed back and upped it to $900 (£702). Ryan then compromised at $850 – £663 – and the pair agreed and he went to get more money to complete the sale.

And when they got the Disney products home, Ryan explained that he knew he would be able to get so much more for them than he’d just paid.

He explained in his YouTube video: “So in this giant lot there was Snow White, some Mickey Mouse, there was some Nightmare Before Christmas, there was Bambi, there was Dumbo.

“There were even some Looney Tunes in there as well – just a wide variety of some highly valuable Disney figures.

“If you guys don’t know what these are, they’re called Walt Disney classic collection ceramic figurines and they’re extremely high end.

“Some can range from $30 – $30 and some can go up as high as $200 to $300. And we actually have a great mixture of both of those things.”

Ryan then went on to reveal that they’d already sold 8 of the figurines out of the 61 strong collection for a whopping $656 (£511) and almost made their money back – and still had so many to go.

He then shared that they hadn’t even listed them all, as three were damaged and another two, they’d kept for themselves.
