Steven Soderbergh is a filmmaker who has proven his versatility. He tackled a variety of genres throughout his career including horror, comedy and heist films. He even began to explore the world of male stripping in 2012 with Magic Mike.

The film stars Channing Tatum as Michael Lane. It follows Alex Pettyfer’s character Adam. “The Kid”, who becomes Mike’s protege as a male dancer.

The film was praised by critics and audiences alike and a new installment – Magic Mike’s Last Dance – recently received a trailer to tease audiences back onto the stage and under the lights.

There are only three movies in the franchise, with the third set to make it a trilogy; they’re released in chronological order in regards to narrative.

The Magic Mike movie streaming situation is that anyone in the US can view Magic Mike and Magic Mike XXL for free with an HBO Max subscription or Hulu subscription. You can also rent the films on Amazon Video, YouTube, Apple TV and Vudu.

Magic Mike streaming in the UK is part of an Amazon Prime Video subscription. The sequel can be rented on Amazon and other platforms.

Magic Mike’s Last Dance release date

This third movie will finally be made available exclusively in theaters starting Friday, February 10th 2023.

There is no streaming date yet. This means that audiences still have plenty of time for Magic Mike and XXL to be streamed before catching up on some soon-to be familiar faces.

The trailer is now available for viewing. Variety reports that it’s confirmed to be the final movie in the series.

‘I want it to be the Super Bowl of stripping’

Channing has previously spoken out about the exciting project. PeopleThe biggest entry of the trilogy was teased:

“I want it to be the Super Bowl of stripping. I want dancing like we’ve never been able to do in the other two movies, because we had to be honest to what the reality of that world is, which isn’t great dancing.”

He continued: ” … I want to have professional dancers [from all over], Russian ballet dancers, I want to go for it and create a completely new genre of this form.”

Director also stated that the popular live show inspired the sequel. “make a third movie and base it off of the themes and what the live show does.”

Magic Mike’s Last Dance opens in theaters on Friday, February 10th 2023.
