We’re getting one last look at HBO’s Game of Thrones prequel series House Of The DragonBefore its Sunday premiere
Titled “Fire Will Reign”The promo begins with Viserys Targaryen speaking: “The road ahead is uncertain, but the end is clear.” Viserys continues, “We are better defended… by whomever may dare to challenge us.”The clip ends with the unsettling warning from Viserys. “The threat of war looms.”
Based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood,The series was set 200 years prior to the events of Game of ThronesHouse Targaryen’s story is told in.
Paddy Considine stars along with Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Fabien Frankel, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans. Milly Alcock and Phoebe Campbell star alongside Phoebe Campbell, Emily Carey and Harry Collett.
Martin and Ryan Condal created the series together. Condal is also a co-showrunner along with Miguel Sapochnik, who directs. Martin, Condal, Sapochnik executive producer with Sara Hess and Jocelyn Diaz.
House of the DragonThe premiere airs Sunday, August 21st at 9 PM ET/PT on HBO. It will also be streamable on HBO Max. The 10-episode finale will be broadcast on October 23rd. New episodes of the season will air weekly.
