‘House Of The Dragon‘ Becomes Most Viewed HBO Title In Europe

House of the Dragon has smashed HBO’s SVoD ratings records in Europe, Warner Bros Discovery has claimed.

The fantasy drama’s debut run has surpassed season eight of progenitor Game of Thrones to become the most-viewed title on HBO’s subscription streaming services across Europe, according to its parent WBD.

The series has a total of 29 million viewers in the U.S. with more than three times the overnight viewership. House of the Dragon took the largest audience for a debut series in HBO’s history and was a best series launch on HBO Max in the U.S., Latin America and Europe, said WBD.

Outside of Europe, the show, which tells the story of a war within Westeros’ ruling House Targaryen and is based on George R.R. Martin’s novel Fire & BloodAlso, it can be surpassed Game of ThronesSeason eight is the most-viewed HBO title in Latin America, Southeast Asia and Hong Kong on an HBO streaming service.

House of the DragonStreams available on HBO Max in 39 Latin America countries, 21 Europe countries and on HBO GO Southeast Asia and Hong Kong.

George R.R. Martin and Ryan Condal are co-showrunners. Sara Hess and Jocelyn Diaz, Vince Gerardis, Ron Schmidt and Ron Schmidt are executive producers.
