Co-host Jenna Bush Hager didn’t hold back as she called out the clothing mishap during the broadcast of Today with Hoda & Jenna.
The Unveiling of the Wardrobe Malfunction
During the Girl Code segment of the show, Jenna, 42, vividly described the scenario for the audience, “You’re sitting with your friend, you’re hosting a television show as some do, and you look down and you notice that your friend has something on her pants.”
She continued, musing, “You wonder, ‘Shall I tell her quietly or should I just scream it to the world?'”
The camera then focused on Hoda’s pant leg, where the security tag was prominently displayed.
“Hoda, it seems as though you either stole those pants or they forgot to remove the security code,” Jenna playfully teased.
The ensuing laughter from both Hoda, 59, and the studio audience filled the set as the wardrobe malfunction was brought to light.
Hoda explained, “I think sometimes the security code is forgotten. We’ve all had that, it’s left behind.”
She recounted their attempts to remove it, revealing, “We tried to pry it off with pliers, but it doesn’t work.”
“But I will have you know that I went through the seven and eight o’clock segments with no one noticing,” Hoda proudly proclaimed.
Jenna jokingly retorted, “They may not be paying attention to you the way I pay attention to you.”

Following the on-air blunder, Savannah Guthrie took to Instagram to share photos of the TODAY crew. Fans quickly honed in on the security tag incident, with one commenting, “Forever here for Hoda and the security tag!”

A Peek into Kids’ Day on Set
In a different light, last month saw Hoda Kotb, Craig Melvin, and Dylan Dreyer inviting their children to anchor alongside them on Take Your Child to Work Day.
Craig, 44, brought his son, Delano, 10, to join in on the fun. He shares Delano with his wife, Lindsay Czarniak, along with a daughter named Sybil, 7.
The delightful segment also featured Dylan’s six-year-old son, Calvin, who sat at the anchor desk with Delano.
Craigs’ the hosts later chuckled as their sons adjusted to the responsibilities of the role.
Hoda, on the other hand, proudly brought her daughter, Haley, seven, to share the spotlight.
