Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Hilarie Burton’s husband, gave her another watch after her ex-boyfriend gifted it to her for seemingly inexplicable reasons. During a segment of her “Drama Queens”Podcast with Sophia Bush, Bethany Joy Lenz. Burton opens up about how frustrating it was for her to get a watch from her husband. Gus, her son, was just a few short months after she gave birth. E! NewsBurton was getting ready to celebrate her 50th birthday in the city together with her husband.
“The day before my birthday he was like, ‘I can’t hang out with you, I have to go buy your birthday present,'” Burton revealed. The actor prefaced the dark situation. “It’s like 9 o’clock in the morning and I’ve got an infant, and everyone wants me to open presents and like, be all performative and s**t, and I open up this present and it’s a f***ing watch.”How did she respond? “I lost it.”
The actor also added “He didn’t know the backstory and he’s just like, ‘I bought you a nice thing. Why are you being psychotic?'”She assured her co-workers that Morgan had not bought the watch to commit malice, and they laugh about it together. Burton said, “Any time I’m being high strung, he’s like, ‘Do I need to go buy you a watch?'”
