Here’s why Thor: Love and Thunder did not create an Endgame plot hole

Thor: Love and ThunderAlready a major financial success for Disney with its already-recorded revenues of $2.5 billion $700 millionSince the premiere on July 8, worldwide. And that’s without China and Russia, where the film has not been released. But the story isn’t perfect, and we’ve already highlighted the big expected Avengers plot hole. Many have also speculated that Love and ThunderIt creates a major plot hole EndgameThe biggest Avengers movie ever.

But we’re going to explain why that’s not the case. Thor 4 doesn’t ruin the Endgame plot, and that’s because Marvel gave Avengers 4The best plot armor available. The MCU has set off a series of events that will further strengthen the MCU. Endgame plot. Beware, MCU spoilers to follow.

Love and Thunder’sEternity big reveal

The plot of Love and Thunder is quite simple. We have a villain, Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who wants to kill all of the universe’s gods. Instead of fighting them all one-by-one, he wants Stormbreaker. That’s the weapon that Thor (Chris Hemsworth) created in Infinity WarTo fight Thanos (Josh Brolin).

Gorr wants Stormbreaker in order to reach Eternity, the powerful entity at the center the universe that will grant every wish to the person who achieves it. Gorr eventually reaches Eternity. But Thor manages to persuade him to forget about the obvious desire of the universe, which is to see all gods die. Instead, Gorr’s wish becomes something entirely different. Gorr asks that his daughter be resurrected.

What is the best way to make a plot hole? Endgame? Marvel fans have begun wondering why Thor didn’t just visit Eternity himself at the end of Infinity War to ask for Thanos’s step to be undone Or why Thanos didn’t go to Eternity himself to purge half of the universe’s living beings.

The Love and ThunderIt seems that plot is a major plot hole EndgameHowever, we can help you understand everything.

Thor and Thanos don’t know everything

The easiest way to debunk it EndgameYou can see the plot hole by looking at the timeline. Keep in mind that these heroes and villains don’t understand every detail of the universe.

First, Thor does not need a replacement for Mjolnir if he makes Stormbreaker. That’s what the weapon is. It’s not a doorway to Eternity, even though it works as one on Love and Thunder. Thor realizes this only in Love and ThunderWhat Gorr intends (Russell Crowe explains) to Zeus when he tells everyone Gorr will not reach Eternity.

Therefore, Thor couldn’t have known what he had on his hands after the Infinity War disaster. Stormbreaker was used to kill Thanos and the hammer then became a magnificent bottle opener.

Second, Thanos was already at the point of conquering all Infinity Stones when Thor created Stormbreaker. It’s not even clear if he knew of Eternity at that point. But he couldn’t have known that Stormbreaker was the key to getting there.

The real reason is Love and Thunder doesn’t create a big EndgamePlan hole

But we don’t even have to analyze the actions of Thor and Thanos and speculate on what they do and don’t know. Why? Love and Thunder doesn’t create a big plot hole for EndgameIt is very easy. Avengers 4is the best Marvel movie plot armor.

Marvel created it all the way back when Infinity WarIt is fully aware that future events cannot ruin it Endgame plot. When Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) tells the Avengers on Titan that there’s only one way to beat Thanos, he means the chain of events we end up witnessing in Endgame.

He saw 14 million futures. Thor could have used Eternity in one of them to bring everybody back. But that wouldn’t have been the win Strange was looking for.

The memes also came out in a variety of ways. There is no way home, pointing out that Strange could have made Thanos forget he wanted to wipe half of the universe’s living beings out of existence. But, again, that wouldn’t have been a successful way to win, per Infinity War’sYou can plot armor.

It’s all Kang, baby!

We explained recently that the Avengers’ win over Thanos was carefully orchestrated by Kang (Jonathan Majors). He had to make sure that the events take place in a certain order within the Sacred Timeline. This meant Thanos won his first battles. Infinity War. It meant that the world had five years of immense pain before the Avengers saved it.

Kang wanted all of these events to take place in this order. He wanted the world’s development to be able to produce the 31st century version Kang. He needs the world’s massive diversity to get to that point. And you can’t risk having Thanos wipe out one of your ancestors.

In the same way, he needed to share his technology with the rest of humanity to improve and develop time travel technology. Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), creates the first time/multiverse travel device that has been successful in five years. Infinity War Endgame. Tony Stark may not have been able to time travel if Thor had used Stormbreaker to reach Eternity.

This is just speculation, of course, but it’s based on the events happening in the MCU Phase 4 so far. Keep this in mind. Love and ThunderA story is not necessary to create a plot hole. Endgame.

However, we’re certainly curious as to why Eternity will grant only one wish. Or the unannounced. Avengers 7This is what it is called Eternity Wars.
