Marg Helgenberger is a TV celebrity who has made a great leap from her humble beginnings at North Bend, Nebraska to the place she is today. Helgenberger dished to AARP, “My first job was in the soybean fields. I was 11.”She worked as a summer worker at a meatpacking company, and she recalls to having a lot of fun. The Hollywood Reporter, “I handled beef carcasses on an assembly line in a cooler,” adding, “My worst day on ‘CSI’ was vastly superior to my best day at the packinghouse.”
Helgenberger was clear in stating that she was “not afraid of hard work”And that was because she assumed that she knew what she wanted to do for her career. “go into nursing”Like her mother. Helgenberger was a theater performer in college and discovered that acting was her true calling. She remembered to The Daily Northwestern, “I played Blanche DuBois in ‘A Streetcar Named Desire,'” adding, “Just playing that role … it made me realize that I perhaps could actually do this for a living.”But, it was her part in “The Taming of the Shrew”That led to her big break. She explained that, “I was seen by a casting agent, which eventually led to a screen test and a job on a soap opera called ‘Ryan’s Hope.'”
Helgenberger is now the street in Nebraska that she named after her, perhaps because of her amazing rise to success. She was elated. “It really is pretty special. When I went back for the unveiling of it … I was very touched by it.”
