Guild of Location Managers 2022: ‘Succession’ and ‘Stranger Things.

“Stranger Things” “Succession”We were among the top-scoring winners of the 9th annual Location Managers Guild International awards (LMGI) on Saturday evening.

The reception and awards ceremony were held at Los Angeles Center Studios in front of 400 people, including industry executives and journalists.

“Succession,”It was shot in Italy for part of its third season. The series won the award for outstanding locations in a television series. “Stranger Things”Award for period television series

Ridley Scott’s film was shot in Italy and won the award for outstanding locations in a period movie. The award was won by the James Bond entry for outstanding locations in contemporary films, which was shot in London, Norway, and Jamaica.

The LMGI Awards highlight international television, commercials, and features in which creative use of filming places sets the tone, enriches the character, and enhances the story.

Director Martin Scorsese was awarded the Eva Monley award. It honors his 50-years of outstanding award-winning work. Mike Fantasia, the location manager, presented the award.

Orlando Bloom received the LMGI humanitarian Award. He was recognized for his role in UNICEF Goodwill ambassador and his contribution to educating the world about the suffering of Ukrainian children, who had to flee the country during the Russian invasion.
