Guests of ‘Clouds Across the Moon’

You can’t beat a good detective drama and ITV’s McDonald and Dodds stands out as one of the best new additions to the genre in recent years.

The series’ lighthearted comedy returned in 2022 for its third installment. As each case unfolds, the duo will be joined by a number of familiar faces.

Season 3 welcomed some star-studded guest stars to its roster of guest stars, but who joins McDonald’s and Dodds for episode 4?

Episode 4 of McDonald’s and Dodds season 3 airs at 8 pm on Sunday, July 10, 2022 on ITV.

Titled Clouds across the Moon, this week’s case offers a sting in the tail as Dodds emerges as the unexpected chief suspect.

The case sparks into life on the dawn of All Soul’s Day when the body of a successful Bath businessman is found in a shallow grave in the shadow of the Glastonbury Tor.

McDonald’s and Dodds start to uncover suspects as they investigate the case. These include Hector Ingham, a local artist and Martin Silver, an IT consultant who claims to be capable of communicating with the dead.

DS Dodds is the name that keeps popping up in credit card statements and paper trails, despite a growing number of clues.

Max Bennett as Martin Silver

First up in our final cast rundown of McDonald and Dodds’ third series is Max Bennett who takes on the role of the mysterious Martin Silver.

The 37-year-old actor made his debut back in 2007 and has appeared in more than 20 roles since then, notably appearing in 2012’s remake of The Sweeney and Bohemian Rhapsody, Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen Both the series and the individual episodes Poldark, Will, Leonardo Hope Savings

Gerran Howell is Father Luton/Fulton Harte

Episode 4 features Gerran Howell (Welsh actor) in a double role, playing Father Luton as well as Fulton Harte.

Joan Iyiola is Jemma Kent

Joan Iyiola made her acting debut in 2016, but she already has nearly 20 credits as she plays the role of Jemma.

The actress’s biggest role to date came in the BBC series Enterprice Other appearances have also been made Yonderland, New Blood and ITV’s 2021 mini-series Too close.

Pearce Quigley is Hector Ingham

Pearce Quigley has played more than 60 roles and is the most experienced guest star for episode 4. He plays Hector Ingham in Bath.

After his debut onscreen in the 1989 film, Ladder of Swords This Salford-born actor appeared in Detectorists, Cutting It, Happiness, Home from Home, Peter Kay’s Car Share, Sky’s Cobra drama, Prime Video’s The Wheel of Time Films Peterloo, The Way Back Millions.

Joanna Riding as Maeve gibney

Finally, Joanna Riding plays the role of Maeve gibney.

This Lancashire-born actress first appeared on our screens in 1991. Notable appearances include: Stella, where the Heart Is and Disney’s Into the Woods.
