After being alerted about a serious flaw in Chrome, GOOGLE released an important Chrome update.
The tech company has not provided any details about the nature and effects of the bug to the public until sufficient people have installed the most recent software.
It would send hackers down the wrong trail, and the fix wouldn’t be widely accepted.
“Access to bug details and links may be kept restricted until a majority of users are updated with a fix,” According to the company.
“We will also retain restrictions if the bug exists in a third party library that other projects similarly depend on, but haven’t yet fixed.”
Google regularly releases updates to Chrome when experts report bugs.
There are usually several with every month. However, this release had only one.
But, this is a risky one.
Google will only provide one detail about bug CVE-2022-435 as it is officially called. It relates to an “heap buffer overflow in GPU”.
According to Bleeping ComputerThis can allow attackers to gain access or execute code on your device.
Google confirmed it was an exploit “exists in the wild”.
This release will be released over the next days and weeks. Make sure you have automatic updates so that you are protected immediately.
