Ghostbusters: AfterlifeThis movie was heavily influenced by nostalgia for the original series. While many of the film’s references to the original 1986 movie were overt connections to the plot, there were also a lot of easter eggs and other references that were really just there to entertain the fans, which is not to say that didn’t work. It seems, however, that there is only one sequence. You will find dozens of mini Stay-Puft marshmallow men in this package, wasn’t so much inspired by the original GhostbustersIt was inspired by a classic 1984 film. Gremlins.
Paul Rudd is seen in the scene, buying ice cream at a store when he sees the mini-puft creatures, who are having a great time but are also quite destructive. The choreography was a perfect blend of evil, infantiles, unhinged, funny, and gruesome. It’s easy to see the connection between the mini-pufts and the Gremlins. They’re a bunch of tiny little hellraisers that are just running wild all over the place. They are the men in Ghostbusters: Afterlife certainly have more in common with the Gremlins than they do with Mr. Stay-Puft, at least in the way they’re acting.
The final of Gremlins takes place in a shopping mall and that’s the scene that seems to be Referred hereThey are the strongest. This scene could have the Gremlins. Ghostbusters: AfterlifeThey will destroy anything they can get their hands on, and even possibly kill themselves, like the little marshmallow men. Self preservation isn’t high on the list for any of these creatures.
Although the original GremlinsThis was a bit scarier. GhostbustersBoth films were PG-13 movies so many young people saw them both growing up. Many of these films are still loved by many and have the same nostalgic appeal. This rating, PG-13, was first introduced a month after the movies were released. It was evident for many years. the MPAA wasn’t sure what to do with it.
Considering how closely these two franchises have been, it’s nice to see the one make reference to the other. And now that we’ve finally seen the Long awaited third GhostbustersFilm, maybe there’s a chance that the The third illusion GremlinsFilmSoon, they will be here.
