General Hospital Spoilers: The Cast & Crew Mourn Yet Another Loss To The Show

For those fans who caught the end of the Thursday, September 27th edition of the show, then you may have been a tad perplexed about who Craig Sjodin is, and what he means to the General Hospital’s (GH) cast and crew.

A memorandum passed at the end of the show, with an “in Loving Memory” message and a photo of Craig. Looks like the soap is suffering yet another loss, one of many passings that have occurred in the past year.

Craig Sjodin wasn’t a producer, director, or even an actor who played a passing character; however, he still played an important role in the soap opera.

For 39 years now, he has been an ABC still photographer, capturing “everyone and anyone” in the land of Port Charles, not to mention a number of prime-time shows for the network, as well.

He had an eye for the “perfect” shot, and the proof is in the tremendous work he did, over the years. Craig passed away on Friday, September 15 due to injuries sustained in a bicycle accident.

According to Soaps.com, he had just retired from his job and was looking forward to taking his family on some trips to areas he had visited during his career, including Australia.

He leaves behind his wife, whom he was married to for three decades. A loved one notes that Craig was the “youngest” 67-year-old they had ever known.

GH Spoilers – It’s Been A Hard Year For The Daytime Drama

Unfortunately, GH’s cast and crew have been hit hard, suffering many losses this year, including N’Neka Garland, a beloved producer of the show, Jacklyn Zeman who played the legendary Bobbie Spencer, and more recently, Billy Miller, who once played Drew Cain on the daytime drama.

The soap also honored Sonya Eddy this past March, who played the much-loved Epiphany Johnson, who was the head nurse of the hospital with a ton of sass and a heart of gold. Eddy passed away late in 2022.

On behalf of everyone here, we extend our deepest sympathies to Craig Sjodin’s family, friends, loved ones, and colleagues. Visit this site often for all the latest updates on General Hospital.
