Gatwick passengers “pass out” waiting in a hot terminal for hours, while others are trapped on planes amid more baggage chaos

EASYJET customers are said to have fainted today at Gatwick amid delays in scorching sun.

As temperatures rose to 29C, travellers rushed to escape the misery at the airport. It is the third busiest in the UK.

This afternoon saw chaos reign, despite holiday-makers desperately seeking to go abroad.

Passengers of the airline complained about baggage handling and missing air crews, while jets sat for hours on the tarmac.

Ross Harvie, speaking directly to easyJet, said: “Anyone see the Gran Canaria cabin crew?”
