Game of Thrones‘Westeros was not a good place to live during the eight seasons. But, the abundance of badass female characters did not mean that the kingdoms would embrace women as leaders or soldiers. Martin explained why the Kingdoms of Westeros were not keen on women getting ahead in his fantasy world.

Others believe Viserys’ brother Daemon should rule, since a woman never sat at the Iron Throne. George R.R. Martin spoke about this during the panel at San Diego Comic-Con.
