Hannity said that all Trump supporters should be arrested. The committee has not yet provided any details about the type of cooperation they will ask for. Officials say that Hannity was among many Fox News hosts who were found texting Meadows at the time of the January attacks.

Fox News hosts Laura Ingraham (Fox News) and Brian Kilmeade (Fox News) were also revealed to have sent a text to Meadows on Jan. 6 urging him to stop the riot. The House select committee investigated the Capitol riot over the past month and proceeded to charge Meadows with criminal contempt of Congress for failing to obey a subpoena. Rep. Liz Cheney read out the text exchanges during the hearing. One was from Ingraham. “The president needs to tell people in the Capitol to go home. … He is destroying his legacy.”

Another text sent by Hannity to Meadows that same day was: “Can he make a statement?… Ask people to leave the Capitol?”
