Fox Animated Series ‘Universal Basic Guys/The Hoagie Bros’ Adam & Craig Malamut

Fox is preparing its latest animated order.

The network ordered animated comedyUniversal Basic Guys/The Hoagie Bros. (w/t). To series. It was created by Adam Malamut, Craig Malamut, and Sony Pictures Television.

The series is described to be a show. “about men trying to find purpose in a world where they’re no longer needed.”

It is the story of Mark and Hank Hoagies who suddenly find themselves without jobs after the Glantontown Hot Dog Factory switches to automation. The town launched a radical Universal Basic Income pilot program that gave $3,000 per month to all Glantontown residents without strings attached. Mark, Hank, and their friends are once more kids in summer, flooded with stupid ideas and free time.

Craig Malamut and Adam Malamut, both brothers from South Jersey are self-taught animators. They can write, voice, sound edit, and compose music. Their first show was Sports FriendsBefore they moved in-house, the show aired on Yahoo Screen. Game of ZonesThey will produce executive-level results. Universal Basic Guys/The Hoagie Bros.

The series is produced and distributed by Sony Pictures Television, Fox Entertainment, and Bento Box Entertainment.

The move comes as Fox gears up to launch a four-show, two-hour animated block on Monday nights in May with Dan Harmon’sKrapopolisand Jon Hamm-voicedGrimsburg.

This block will also feature the second season comedy about therapy dogsHousebrokenThe animated series features Lisa Kudrow’s voices, Clea duVall, Nat Faxon, and Will Forte. It also repeats episodes from other animated series, including perhaps Episodes ofDuncanvilleFox cancelled the series after three seasons.

The Monday block is designed to complement Fox’s long-running Sunday night Animation Domination segment, which features shows such asThe Simpsons, Family GuyAndBob’s BurgersAll three are currently involved in renewal talks.
