They say dog is man’s best friend, but this Florida man took the saying to a whole new level when he fought off a bear on his porch, all to protect his beloved pup.
Walter Hickox from Daytona Beach was captured on Ring’s security camera jumping between a bear & his dog. He then physically fought the wild animal off and fenced off his porch using a bench.
“Oh my God, I just got attacked by a bear,”He could be heard saying it at the moment.
Inside Edition reported that Hickox noticed the bear’s fixation on his dog the moment he saw it on his porch.
“The line of focus [was] between the bear’s eyes and my dog,”He elaborated. “I wanted to break that focus, get my body into there to let the dog get back into the house.”
Hickox was only slightly injured by the incident.
