The Public Enemy icon admitted to mistaking Cyrus for another pop star due to their strikingly similar hairstyles. At the iHeartRadio Music Festival, Cyrus was sporting short blonde hair, which led Flav to believe he was in the presence of Gwen Stefani.

Upon realizing his mistake, Flav approached Cyrus, exclaiming, “Gwen Stefani!
