EXCLUSIVE: Filipina acting and singing star Lovi Poe has launched her own production company called C’est Lovi Productions.
The company will be focusing on Filipino stories and artists in international markets. It already has several projects on the go.
They include Lady LuckPoe will star in the movie, written by Geordie and Mitchell Tole from Los Angeles. Niall Johnson is a U.K. directorWhite NoiseDirect is attached by ). This feature is currently being pre-produced.
Other projects include the psychological thriller AlyssaJerrold Tarog, a Filipino filmmaker, is attached to direct and write for this film. Tarog’s past credits include the 2016 Philippine-American war drama Heneral Luna Acquisition of NetflixGogo: The General Boys.
Montgomery BlencoweThe Prince, HeistPoe will be a partner in the partnership.
Poe, the daughter of late Filipino actor legends Fernando Poe Jr. and Susan Roces, has a successful career on her own.
Her recent projects include a number of Filipino dramas that received international attention. Flower of EvilRomantic comedy and other romantic fare Sleep with Me which premiered at Los Angeles’ Outfest in July, winning the audience award for best episodic.
The actress recently signed a contract for the ABS-CBN Corporation, which is the premier network in the Philippines.
Poe will also soon be seen in her biggest English-language role to date, alongside Alex Pettyfer and Poppy Delevingne, in Ben Cookson’s The Chelsea CowboyThe story of John Blindon, a U.K. actor/bodyguard.
