Woman Gets Banned from Husband’s Family Functions – Here’s Why
AN ANGRY woman has shared the incident that got her banned from her husband’s family functions. She clapped back at her sister-in-law’s rude comment and people agreed that justice was served.

Sister-in-Law’s Rude Behavior
Redditor Fun_Pair6092 shared the family drama in a post. She explained that five months into her marriage, she’d repeatedly had to deal with her sister-in-law’s rude comments.
Microaggressions And Clapback
“She talks about my appearance. I’m Black and when her family isn’t around, she makes stereotypical comments and my husband always gets on her about it,” she wrote. On top of rude comments about her looks, she added that her sister-in-law often follows them up with continued microaggressions.
Disgusting Comments About Hair
“One time she made a comment about my hair when it was in mini twists and said something like ‘Are you doing a Bob Marley thing… are you going to start smoking weed too?'” she said. “And she tried to touch my hair and I smacked her hand away.”
Flower Tradition And Masculinity Comments
On her and her husband’s first date, she had gone out of her way to get him flowers, much to his surprise and delight. “He was so shocked because he never got flowers before so every month on the day of our first date, I get him flowers and now I’ve changed it to the date the (9th) that we got married,” she explained. When her sister-in-law came over to drop off her son to be watched, however, she was disgusted by the couple’s tradition.
“She reads the note and said, ‘YOU got him flowers?… You are very masculine,’ and my husband tells her to stop and she can leave,” she said. “She goes, ‘Well, I’m just trying to help you out, this has to be emasculating….is this because you don’t get her flowers?'”
Final Straw And Aftermath
The question was the final straw. “I snap and tell her, ‘Maybe if you worried about your own marriage and stayed out of your boss’s bed, you would have someone to get flowers from,'” she said. Her sister-in-law, shocked at the clapback, “stormed out” of their home and later texted her husband, demanding an apology.

Apology Demands And Family Reaction
The couple, however, agreed that she didn’t deserve one. “I told him I’m not doing that and he doesn’t want me to,” she said. Her husband’s family, however, thought otherwise. “His mom called him and said that I shouldn’t have brought that up because she’s going through a hard time with her divorce,” she said. “He tells her she shouldn’t have called me masculine and spoke on our marriage and maybe I wouldn’t have said it. “She says until I apologize, we can’t come to family functions and he says ‘Good thing we still have her family functions to go to and we don’t want to come unless she gives an apology.’
