TikTok has turned Ohio into the subject of a viral meme “Only In Ohio.”
The joke about the Buckeye state comes from where?
All of it stemmed from the meme “The Meme.” “Ohio vs The World,” Tumblr’s August 2016 Tumblr post gained momentum and focused on the imaginary unknown threat in the state as well as the quest of world dominance.
One user shared a photo of a bus stop that featured a digital display and the message. “Ohio will be eliminated” displayed.

Twitter users and TikTok users have now reshared previous trends and begun to post their own funny memes pokeing fun at the state.
TikTok received a clip of an apparently amusement park ride where people are able to swing with what appears to be an extension cord contraption.
