Exclusive: Daphne Abdela and Christopher Vasquez Released from Prison – Get the Inside Scoop!

Where is Christopher Vasquez now?

Christopher Vasquez was diagnosed with agoraphobia as a child and suffered from severe anxiety attacks. Despite being released from Attica Correctional Facility in 2004, he has remained out of the public eye. Vasquez returned to his family home in Harlem after serving part of his 3.5–10 year sentence.

Daphne Abdela was far more aggressive than Christopher Vasquez.

Daphne Abdela, adopted by a wealthy family, had a quick temper and was prone to violence. She had been an alcoholic since childhood, with her addiction going unnoticed by her parents until shortly before the murder. Abdela met Michael McMorrow, who shared her allergy to alcohol, in a substance abuse treatment facility. Their next encounter led to McMorrow’s brutal murder.

The Brutal Murder of Michael McMorrow

McMorrow, drinking with two 15-year-old teenagers, Christopher Vasquez and Daphne Abdela, was brutally murdered in Central Park. He was found stabbed repeatedly and gutted in the Central Park Lake. Both Vasquez and Abdela were convicted of first-degree manslaughter in 1998. Abdela’s volatile personality and repeated run-ins with the law suggest she may have been the one who delivered the fatal blows to McMorrow.

By maintaining a low profile post-release, Christopher Vasquez has avoided the public eye while Daphne Abdela continues to face legal issues post-incarceration. Abdela’s aggressive nature comes to light in her lawsuit claiming injuries from a car accident, further implicating her in McMorrow’s murder.
