King’s Island: New Attractions and Dining Options Revamped for 2024
A GIANT American theme park is back for round two, with a total revamp. The brand new attractions at the travel destination include a roller coaster and camping-themed play zone. King’s Island, located in Mason, Ohio, is back with a vengeance. Park-goers can expect new rides, attractions, and even updated dining options. A local Cincinnati news station spilled the beans on the exciting new park. King’s Island is a “364-acre amusement park,” according to Fox19.
Gigantic Roller Coaster for the Whole Family
One especially anticipated new attraction is a gigantic roller coaster. The park is known for rides with more of an adrenaline rush, such as The Beast — a wooden roller coaster. However, they are now opening a roller coaster for the whole family to enjoy — Snoopy’s Soap Box Racers. The cartoon-themed ride is part of a larger opening this year at King’s Island called Camp Snoopy. They also have a brand new camping ground — Beagle Scout Acres. “Beagle Scout Acres is an area where kids can run, crawl, play, or relax with the family in a shaded comfortable space,” the King’s Island website reads. Park-goers are encouraged to “explore a campsite filled with turfed mounds and grassy areas.” The campsite also includes “interactive equipment to make noise, tents to climb through or over.” To prevent getting lost, it’s complete with “footprint paths” in the shape of Woodstock’s feet. The Camp Snoopy experience promises fun for the entire family. King’s Island described it as “guaranteed to feel like a day at camp.” It also encourages getting involved in “Camptivities,” led by members of the Peanuts gang.
Exciting Dining Options at King’s Island
In addition to several new attractions to enjoy — there’s also mealtime to look forward to. King’s Island promises a little something for everyone, including catering to allergies. Executive chef, Joseph Perez shared some of the foods to look out for at the park. He highlighted the new double patty chicken burger from The Brewhouse for a healthier dining option or a cheesy hot dog from Pig Pen’s Mess Hall.
