Ex-Kansas Detective and Three Others Arrested for Sex-Trafficking Ring

A Kansas federal grand jury has indicted a former Kansas City detective along with three other men with forcing women to provide them with sexual services.

According to a, Roger Golubski, Cecil Brooks and LeMark Roberson were among the men indicted for conspiring to keep women in involuntary sex servitude. Richard Robinson was also indicted. Press releaseThe Department of Justice.

Brooks and Roberson allegedly held young women in Brooks’ apartment. They threatened them with beatings and sexual assaults in order to get men to sexually service them.

Brooks was at the time a detective and Golubski allegedly used the money to cover his criminal activities. According to the release, Golubski allegedly raped Brooks’s young female prisoner.

A three-count indictment was returned by the jury. The first count charged all four men with conspiring to hold young women in a condition of involuntary servitude, according to the DOJ.

According to the DOJ, Brooks, Roberson and Robinson were charged with holding a young lady in involuntary slavery and forcing her into sexual services for Roberson.

All four men can face a maximum sentence of life in prison if convicted of the charges, according to the DOJ.

In September, Golubski was charged under a six-count indictment for federal civil rights crimes violations for allegedly sexually assaulting two victims while acting under color of law, according to a Department of Justice Press release.

Chris Joseph, Golubski’s lawyer, told Digital that Golubski denied the allegations “uncorroborated, decades-old allegations,”He has pleaded not guilty to both charges against him.

Golubski had retired from the Kansas City Police Department before 2010. In 1994, he was allegedly connected to the wrongful imprisonment of 17-year-old Lamonte McIntyre, according to CBS News.

CBS News reported that McIntyre’s mother said Golubski had coerced McIntyre into performing sexual acts before her son was convicted.
