The center of the sports universe on Wednesday night was the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, where the annual ESPY Awards honored the best moments of sports by the world’s top athletes.
Steph Curry, Golden State Warrior, hosted the awards and won a few others, including Best NBA player. The live broadcast was televised on ABC and featured eight awards.
The ESPYSraises awareness and funds for Foundation for Cancer Research, the charity founded by ESPN and the late basketball coach Jim Valvano at the firstESPYSIt was 1993. ESPN and V Foundation pledge to continue raising funds and awareness for cancer research until the end of time. A generous donor has donated $1 million to the V Foundation this year.
