ENGLAND rugby star Billy Vunipola has been arrested after a violent incident at a pub in Majorca, according to reports. The 31-year-old was tasered TWICE after police rushed to the Epic bar in the island’s capital of Palma following calls from security staff.
Details of the Violent Incident
Reports claim Vunipola – who was born in Australia to Tongan parents and moved to the UK with his family as a young child – threatened customers and employees with bottles and chairs after removing his top. The Saracens No.8 is said to have been unaffected by the first taser volt police used on him after clearing the bar so they could try to resolve the situation. They eventually overpowered him and handcuffed him after using the device for the second time.
Billy Vunipola Arrested and Hospitalized
Vunipola, 31, was reportedly taken to nearby Son Espases Hospital and had to be sedated and bound to his bed. It’s claimed security guards and coppers had to watch over him until the medication took effect. He was taken to court on Sunday and wore the same blue T-shirt and beige shorts he was arrested in. Vunipola is understood to have been released on bail pending an ongoing investigation. Spanish police and court officials have yet to make an official comment on the alleged incident.
