Barrymore recently posted an Instagram review of the summer issue. Magnolia Journal, Chip and Joanna Gaines’ quarterly interior design publication. Barrymore gushed over the former HGTV star, holding up the issue with a Joanna rollerskating on the cover.
“@joannagaines you are my hero. This cover, just like you, makes the world a more joyful and cool place. And @chipgaines … you rule the school!!!!!”The caption is as follows.
Joanna added a trio heart-eye emoticons to the shoutout, which made it even more sweeter. “ahhhh we love you @drewbarrymore!”
They are not their first interaction
Barrymore and Joanna have known each other for some time. Chip and Joanna both appeared on the Drew Barrymore Show It was April. Barrymore shared a special video message with Joanna from her childhood crush during the interview.
“I think I heard a rumor that maybe, we might have the same… Person out there in the world who really does it for us,”Barrymore made a cheeky suggestion to Joanna.
“Is it Mr. Letterman?”Joanna replied.
Barrymore sipped her coffee and ran to embrace Joanna. This was hilarious considering that Barrymore made pop culture history in 1995 by flashing David Letterman live during his show. Barrymore and Letterman remained close friends over the years. Knowing about Joanna’s crush, she got the former Late ShowHost to record a message
“That’s a dream come true,”Joanna stated this after having seen the video. “Drew and David in one day. I’m done.”
That wasn’t the only time Barrymore called on the designer. Barrymore has been renovating her home for the past few months. In July, Barrymore sent Joanna and Chip an email as she was finishing up her renovations. “demo day.”
