This beloved doctor is best remembered for being a father-of-4 who worked tirelessly during his 25-year-long career in treating more than 250,000 people.

Salia, who was devastated by the news, said that her partner worked at Swindon Hospital but never returned home.

She declared with a “broken heart shattered in pieces beyond imagination”He had already died.

The father of 45 was surrounded his family for his final days.

Salia said, “I held his hand and whispered love and prayers. We have lost our hero. He was a remarkable husband, father, son and friend. He was a great friend for the entire family.

“We all feel empty and I’m not coping. He was my life, my world, my everything. Nothing could have prepared us for this.”

The doctor had been at the forefront of the Covid fight since it was first emerged in 2020. September 10 was just another day of saving lives.

‘DOUBLE TRAGEDY’

A colleague said: “Being a fighter, he never gave up. He kept believing he would recover.”

A friend told me that Dr Halim wasn’t a smoker or drinker and was someone who would justifiably quit smoking. “helped people all the time”.

They said that he was devoted to his family, including his youngest child, who is now five, and worked tirelessly for 25 years in the NHS.

Mrs Halim posted a sad post on social media: “Irfan, you gave me fifteen magical years as my wife, four beautiful kids, wonderful memories, and that will last me till my final days in this life.”

“Please remember him in all your prayers, duas, and mountains of strength for His Children for the pain of losing a wonderful and beloved father at such tender age.

The loss of this highly respected surgeon has caused grief among the medical community.

He had one of the most successful practices in the UK. He saw 300 new patients each month and performed over 1,200 procedures annually.

Hash Syed, a friend who worked alongside Dr Halim to create a new digital health platform, said that he will remember the joy he had while building Entero at Antler, near Liverpool Street.
