Dolly Parton thinks Taco Bell should bring back Mexican Pizza

“I Will Always Love You”It’s a beautiful song about love, loss, yearning and devotion. This is a song that Taco Bell fans will probably remember. They still remember Mexican Pizza.

Dolly Parton, the woman behind those very famous lyrics, told Insider that she’s also a big fan of the beloved Taco Bell item — and she thinks it should be brought back to menus.

Parton loves to cook at home, but she revealed that she still enjoys going to fast-food joints with Carl Dean (her husband of 55+ years).

“Oh, I love to get a good burger out on the highway and french fries like everybody else,”She spoke. “And we go get hot doughnuts now and then. We love to just get out in that little camper of ours and drive through restaurants.”

Parton says she visits Taco Bell when she craves tacos.

“I like soft-shell tacos,” Parton revealed. “I like the others, but they fall apart so bad, especially if you’re riding around. So I always get a Taco Supreme, with the sour cream and all that, in the soft shell. I love that.”

“I get an order of rice and beans,”She continued. “And I get mild sauce. I don’t like to get it too hot and ruin everything.”

Parton said that she also used to love Taco Bell Mexican Pizza. It featured ground beef and refried bean sandwiches between two tortilla shells, topped with cheese and tomatoes and drizzled with pizza sauce.

When asked if she thinks the chain should bring it back, Parton’s answer was immediate — and enthusiastic.

“I think they should!”She spoke.

“We’re constantly listening to our customers,”She spoke. “So I wouldn’t pull that off the table.”

Parton is releasing a new line with Duncan Hines of Southern desserts.

Parton enjoys making classic Southern dishes when she isn’t enjoying tacos. Parton hopes Duncan Hines’ new line cake frosting and mix will help her bring her favourite dishes to the masses.

“I’ve always wanted to have a line of Southern foods,”Parton spoke to Insider. “We’re launching the line with banana pudding cake because I’ve always loved banana pudding and thought, ‘Wouldn’t it be great to have banana pudding in a cake?'”

“And then, of course, we’ve got a wonderful coconut cake, everybody loves coconut cake,”She continued. “And we have all that wonderful buttercream frosting for the cakes. I’m excited about it.”
