SUR had an employee bloodbath in 2020, with two of the OG cast being axed. Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute were fired from the show after it was revealed they’d filed a false police report against Black cast member Faith Stowers as a “prank,” per BBC News. Schroeder and Doute both apologized, claiming they had no idea what the ramifications of their actions would be. However, it was too little too late.
Two of the new cast were also 86’d. Brett Caprioni and Max Boyens were shown the door after racist tweets from the past came back to haunt them. “Bravo and Evolution Media confirmed today that Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Max Boyens, and Brett Caprioni will not be returning to Vanderpump Rules,” the network announced in a statement, via Variety.
SUR’s self-titled “number one guy,” Jax Taylor, had also been fired after eight dramatic seasons of cheating, feuding, and fighting. He’d never been one of the most likable cast members despite he and his wife, Brittany Cartwright, scoring their own spin-off show, “Vanderpump Rules: Jax and Brittany Take Kentucky.” So, after homophobic statements that he’d written surfaced, Taylor was given his marching orders — although he attempted to defend himself by tweeting, “50 % of my friends are gay.” So, after all the firings and drama, is there anyone from “Vanderpump Rules” who still actually works at SUR?
