Did a plane collide in Lake Worth Texas?

POLICE are currently investigating the cause of a military plane crash that happened around 11am on September 19, 2021.

The flight originated at Corpus Christi International Airport, before it crashed in Lake Worth.

Was there a plane crash in Lake Worth, Texas?

The Lake Worth police department tweeted the initial confirmation of the crash.

“PLANE CRASH – 2000 Blk Tejas Military aircraft down in residential area. Emergency services on scene. Media staging area: 3805 Adam Grubb St, Lake Worth, TX 76135,” The department stated.

The U.S. Navy later identified it as a T-45C Goshawk Jet trainer that was carrying out a routine training flight.

It is not known what caused the accident.

Was anyone killed in the Lake Worth plane accident?

The crash has not yet resulted in any deaths, but there has been property damage.

Both pilots were able to get out of the plane before it crashed. They were then taken to a local hospital to be evaluated and are now in stable condition.

The police department issued an update saying that “2-6 homes [were] damaged,” between the 4000 blocks of Tejas and Dakota.

Red Cross also attended the scene to assist those who had been displaced by the crash.
