Days Of Our LivesCorday Productions, a producer, is entering the feature film market for the first-time.
The company has been approvedDays of Our Lives: A Very Salem ChristmasIts first movie, titled “The Movie,” was released in 2004. Days of Our Lives Chandler Massey, alumnus from the University of California at Berkeley, and Days’Eileen Davidson stars in the holiday film. Monday night, Davidson revealed the movie at The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip in Malibu. It’s set to premiere December 16 on Peacock.
Massey stars in the role of Will Horton, his Daytime Emmy-winning character. He writes a screenplay for Christmas Eve. Using everyone’s favorite feel-good holiday movie tropes, he creates a festive story based on his family and friends in Salem — but with several twists and turns you’ll never see coming.
Additional cast and Davidson’s role were not revealed.
The movie greenlight follows Peacock’s spinoff limited series Days of our Lives Beyond SalemThe streaming service launched the film in September. Davidson is also a star in Beyond Salem along with Lisa Rinna, Deidre Hall, Drake Hogestyn, Jackée Harry, James Reynolds, Victoria Konefal, Robert Scott Wilson, Billy Flynn, Lamon Archey and Sal Stowers.
Days of Our LivesIt received a renewed two-year contract in May. It is now through its 58th season. Set in the fictitious Midwestern town of Salem, the show’s core families are the Bradys, Hortons, Carvers, DiMeras, and Kiriakises. It is a mix of romance, adventure and mystery as well as comedy and drama.
Days of Our LivesCorday Productions and Sony Pictures Television produced the film. Ken Corday, the executive producer, is joined by Albert Alarr as co-executive producers. Ron Carlivati is the head writer.
Peacock is the only streaming home for Days of our Lives. The series airs on NBC weekdays.
