Damon Albarn performing ‘Royal Morning Blue’ on Kimmel

Jimmy Kimmel Live featured Damon Albarn performing his latest song. “Royal Morning Blue.”The blur frontman performs at a grand piano and is accompanied by a string band and a cinematic backdrop that features scenes from Iceland.

“Royal Morning Blue,” off Albarn’s solo album The Stream is more pure the closer it is to the fountain.He was inspired by the Icelandic views reflected on the piano where he wrote the album.

“That’s why the song opens with ‘Rain turning into snow,’ because it’s that moment, that feeling,”Albarn spoke out about the song in a statement from last year. “In all the darkness that we have experienced, that was such a beautiful, positive thing.”
