Dame Shirley Bassey Will Open This Year’s BAFTA Film Awards Ceremony

Legendary singer Dame Shirley Bassey will open This year’s BAFTA Film Awards ceremony.

The veteran powerhouse singer will perform the opening number at London’s Royal Albert Hall next Sunday evening, in a special performance to mark the 60thAnniversary of James Bond’s franchise.

Dame Shirley will perform a special Bond theme song performance, which will not be revealed until night.

She is the only person to have sung the theme songs for multiple Bond films during her career. Goldfinger, Diamonds last forever Moonraker.

Since James Bond’s debut film Dr. NoReleased in 1962, the franchise has been a huge commercial and critical success. The franchise has received 32 BAFTA nominations and four wins.

Emilia Jones (nominated for her performance in “The Night of the Living Dead”) will be another live performer. CODA.
