“Dahmer: The Monster” Debuts with Nielsen’s Tenth Largest Streaming Week Ever

“Monster,” the Ryan Murphy-created limited series starring Evan Peters as serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, debuted on Nielsen’s weekly streaming rankings with 3.7 billion minutes watched from Sept. 19 to Sept. 25. It became the No. This made it the No. 1 program on the viewing screen and the tenth-most-streamed program in one week as recorded by Nielsen.

This chart position was achieved with just four days of streaming availability on Netflix. The series debuted on Sept. 21 and had been available for viewing since then. The accomplishment is considerable, but unsurprising — Nielsen issues its streaming rankings with a four-week delay, whereas Netflix’s self-reported numbers indicated that “Monster” was the company’s No. After its first full week, the series jumped to No. 9, becoming the 9th most-watched English TV series. It was the second-most-watched series ever.
