The show follows Jamie Foxx, who plays Brian Dixon, a single parent who struggles to balance his dating and working lives while still caring for his young daughter(Sasha Dixon). Brian is prone to embarrassing circumstances, much to Sasha’s dismay.

In an interview in April 2021, Jamie mentioned how Netflix gave them the freedom to make the show how they wanted and that he was excited to take the show forward. If the series remains a success following its April 2021 premiere, the subscription channel will track viewership figures for several weeks before deciding whether to renew or terminate the series in spring. It is expected to be approved by Netflix. If it happens, season 2 will premiere this year.
