Two teenage boys from Texas are currently in hospital after they were shot in an attempt murder-suicide. According to authorities.
According to family, the teens were listening to music in the room when the shots went off. According to ABC 13.
Around 3:30 a.m., four deputies were summoned to a nearby neighborhood for a shooting. According to Sgt. Greg Pinkins, Harris County Homicide.
According to ABC 13, they were taken to local hospitals, where the 17-year-old boy was placed on life support. The 15-year-old boy is in critical condition at a different hospital.
According to the outlet: Authorities believe that the 17 year-old’s family is donating his organs.
According to the outlet court records show that the 15-year old’s mother moved him and the sister to the house one year ago following a divorce. Family members said the 17-year-old is a friend of the 15-year-old and had been staying at their residence on and off for an extended period of time.
According to neighbors, they had no information about the family but were shocked at the shooting.
“It appeared that the 17-year-old shot the 15-year-old and then turned the gun on himself,” Pinkins said.
According to the outlet, investigators are trying to determine how the teens acquired the gun.
