David Snively, Interim Police Chief of Policing, was not aware that he would be leaving the scene with his emotions raised when he answered an officer’s call for assistance in arresting a driver.
Snively led the Morrow Police Department, which responded to a call for assistance in an arrest. Police arrived on the scene and discovered that the suspect was becoming hostile during routine traffic stops.
This situation should have been resolved by a simple agreement between police and driver. However, the driver refused to comply with instructions.
The police could not resist arresting him but found that a little girl and her mom were in the car with the suspect. Snively noticed that the mother was talking with the officers and that the little girl whose mother had just been detained was crying.

Concerned about the little girl, the chief of police knelt and consoled it. Snively answered her questions and tried his best to explain the situation.

Later, the police department would upload that picture to social media. The caption explains how Snively tried comforting the girl, and explains the situation to her. They also added a caption explaining how Snively tried to comfort the girl and explain the situation to her. Noted:

Snively posted on his LinkedIn page a post explaining the events between him and the girl. He said that the whole situation broke his heart.

The interim police chief said that the girl approached him confidently and tried her best to not cry. After he was arrested, she asked him if his boyfriend, the suspect, would ever return home. Snively was saddened by the girl’s question.
The chief police officer assured the little girl the suspect was safe and would return home shortly. The little girl nodded and wrapped her arms around Snively, sobbing while her head rested on his shoulder.
