Both Instagram posts directed users to news reports detailing the container’s collapse on January 15. The A ship carrying copies of the books was in transit to the USEater reports that the incident occurred on Wednesday, after having left Taiwan.

Clair Lorell of Eater’s stated that Hereford was not certain if the books he had in the containers that were overboard or damaged. “it would be a long time before we knew if the books would be salvageable, so at that point, it was just time to find a new date.”
