CNN pranked into sharing fake NSFW names on New Year’s Eve

CNN was played in the funniest way possible during their New Year’s Eve Live broadcast.

As hosts Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper presented the special from Times Square, several NSFW names featured on the live show’s ticker along the bottom of the screen.

Crude names like “Ben Dover”, “Mike Oxlong”And “Dixie Normus”The network received tweets with the hashtag #CNNNYE and graced the airwaves.

“Dixie Normus”Who has now added “og queen of the #CNNNYE Twitter feed”You can also find their bios below.

Other accounts that are being monitored by the prank bank include “Seymour Butts”, “Hugh Jass”?, “Harry Cox”.

According to The Daily BeastAs almost all of the prank account follow each other, and all were created in December, it seems that they are all linked.

Jose Pagliery, a reporter, stated that the master account appears be @MikeOxLong625 since it was created in February. The account tweets about other news sources than CNN. However, the account has been deactivated.

Keen-eyed viewers saw the naughty names, and they enjoyed the humor.

Even the prank made it onto The Late Show with Stephen ColbertColbert also shared other NSFW names in this location, such as “Ivana Umpew”And “Luke Attertush”.

CNN isn’t the first channel to fall victim to raunchy names. This happened earlier in the year. GB News caught outBy “Mike Hunt”And “Mike Oxlong”.

Although it’s naughty, it seems the CNN prankster’s actions led to many ringing in the new year with a laugh.
