Kate DuchessShe is celebrating her 40th birthday with a glamorous photo shoot.

Kensington Palace Three new portraits were created of KatePhotograph taken by Paolo Roversi at Kew Gardens in November last year, the evening just before her 40th Birthday.

One photo of her is sepia-tinted. It shows her wearing a sheer offthe-shoulder gown. The skirt is tied at the arms with bows and trailing ribbons. Her hair is worn in loose waves, and Princess Diana’s famous sapphire engagement ring is visible on her left hand. For a closer-up, she wears a white gown with a ruffled collar.

Kate wears a red, one shoulder, one-shouldered gown with pockets, a dramatic poufy sleeves, and dangling diamond earrings in the third color portrait.

The new birthday images of Duchess Kate were photographed last November at Kew Gardens.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s official social media accounts note that the new portraits of Kate will enter the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery in London, of which the duchess has been the royal patron since 2012.

These photos will be displayed in the gallery. “Coming Home” project, an initiative in which portraits of individuals are sent to locations they’re closely associated with. Kate’s portraits will be displayed in three places where she’s lived: Berkshire, where she grew up; St. Andrews, where she went to university and met William; and Anglesey, where the couple lived early in their marriage, before moving into Kensington Palace.
