Charlie Puth has released a new single. “Light Switch.”Puth sings about his love for a woman in this upbeat pop song. It was co-written by Jake Torrey and JKash, and was produced by Puth. Listen Here.
“You turn me on like a light switch,”Puth sings to a pulsating beat. “When you’re moving your body around and around/I don’t want to fight this.”
Puth kept TikTok’s record of the making of the song for many months before it was released.
“On the songwriting level, it was really cool to share this song with the fans while I made it,”The singer stated in a statement that “So they felt like they were involved at the very beginning of the song, like they almost wrote it with me.”
“Light Switch” is the first new song to be released from Puth’s upcoming album, CharlieAtlantic Records will release the album later in the year. The LP marks the singer’s first full-length release since the Grammy-nominated VoicenotesIn 2018.
The 30-year old said CharlieIt is his most personal album. “I’ve never had a chance to put out music that is truly me and every song on this album is my personality with some melody attached to it,”He confirmed.
Puth teamed with Elton John last fall. “After All,” from John’s album of collaborations,The Lockdown SessionsJohn and Puth met in a Los Angeles restaurant at the beginning of March 2020. They soon realized they were close to each other. They began to collaborate at the beginning of the pandemic. “After All”The first song both artists completed during lockdown was “The First Song.”
