The police have confirmed that a BODY discovered in woods close to the Downton Abbey Castle is the body of a missing father of two.
Charles ‘Charlie’ Knight (30) vanished from the face of the earth in February 2021, leaving behind his family for several years.

Today, it has been determined that the remains of a man found by accident in the woods in Burghclere in Hampshire on 8 August are those of his father.
Burghclere, the home of Downton Abbey’s set at Highclere Castle is only two miles away.
Hampshire Police say the death “is not suspicious” and are preparing a report for a Coroner’s Inquest.
According to the force, “the remains of Charles Knight (Charlie Knight) have been positively identified following formal identification.”
After the body was discovered, officers with special training were sent to support his family.
Families and friends of the deceased father have released an updated photo.
In a press release, they said: “We are all heartbroken about what happened. But we can lean on each other and thank the friends who came to our aid and offered their support after Charlie disappeared in February 2021.
We are asking for some privacy in order to allow us time as a whole family to deal with our grief.
Charlie was loved by many people, including his friends and family. He will be missed deeply.
Charlie’s story was discussed on Channel 5 Vanished in April of this year. The former chief inspector told viewers that their help would be crucial to “producing the vital piece information”.
Belinda, his mum, also talked on the program about her frustration at not being able to find her son.
She said, “It is very difficult to understand how someone could be in one place and then disappear the next minute.”
In describing her son she described him as “a compassionate person”. He has always been very protective towards me.
